ageLOC Galvanic Spa Facial Gels (UK)

The ageLOC Galvanic Spa Facial Gels are a two-step treatment system formulated exclusively for the Galvanic Spa device. Step one is the pre-treatment gel (negative charge): it works with the galvanic current to help draw surface impurities and oxidised debris from pores. Step two is the treatment gel (positive charge): it drives Nu Skin's ageLOC ingredient complex deeper into the skin than topical application can achieve. Each box contains enough gel for approximately 15 full facial sessions.

How the Two-Step Process Works

The pre-treatment gel contains negatively charged molecules. When the Galvanic Spa runs in its first phase, like-charge repulsion pushes these molecules into the skin, where they bind to positively charged impurities and draw them toward the surface. After removing the pre-treatment gel, the treatment gel — positively charged — is applied and driven into the skin during the second phase. This is iontophoresis: directional transport of charged molecules across the skin barrier. It's the same principle used in medical physiotherapy for transdermal drug delivery.

How to Use

Cleanse your face thoroughly first (the LumiSpa iO is ideal for this). Apply the pre-treatment gel evenly across the face and use the Galvanic Spa's facial conductor for 5 minutes. Rinse. Apply the treatment gel and run the device for another 5 minutes. The whole process takes about 10–12 minutes including application and removal. Use 2–3 times per week for optimal results. In hard water areas, thorough cleansing beforehand matters more — mineral residue on the skin's surface can interfere with conductivity.
