The ageLOC Body Activating Gel is the preparatory step in the WellSpa iO body treatment routine. Applied before the Body Shaping Gel or Body Serum, it activates the skin surface to optimise conductivity for the galvanic current and improve absorption of the treatment products that follow. Think of it as the body equivalent of the Galvanic Spa's pre-treatment facial gel — it preps the skin to receive the active treatment more effectively.
Why a Prep Step Matters
Galvanic current works by transporting charged molecules across the skin barrier. If the skin's surface is dry, covered in dead cells, or has residue from body lotion or shower products, conductivity drops and the treatment is less effective. The Activating Gel creates an even, conductive layer that ensures the galvanic current flows consistently across the treatment area. It also contains its own blend of conditioning ingredients to soften and hydrate the skin surface.
How to Use
After cleansing the target area (a shower is sufficient), apply a thin layer of the Body Activating Gel to the skin. Allow it to absorb for 30 seconds, then apply the Body Shaping Gel or Body Serum over the top and begin your WellSpa iO treatment. The Activating Gel can also be used before manual application of body treatment products on non-device days — it still improves surface absorption even without the galvanic current. One bottle lasts approximately 6–8 weeks with regular use.
